Senior Risk Engineer

Aegis General Energy, a unit of the Aegis General Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, LLC, is seeking a full-time Senior Risk Engineer to join its team.
This position has multiple openings in southeast and northeast Texas, central/western Pennsylvania and Jacksonville, Florida area.

The primary goal of the Senior Risk Engineer is to conduct risk engineering surveys/physical inspections of commercial accounts.
Additional Requirements for the position include but are not limited to:
Provides underwriters with an accurate description of the physical and operational details of an insured.
Identify hazards and potential loss exposures and makes recommendations to eliminate or reduce the potential loss.
Consult with underwriters and other staff regarding account/line-of-business acceptability, exposures, and controls pertinent to the various lines of business.
Assists underwriters and other staff relative to account operations, exposures, construction, and protection.
Conducts accident investigation and loss analysis to identify causes.
Employs effective sales and communication skills to achieve compliance with recommendations and provides safety and/or supervisory training to insureds.
Conducts joint marketing presentations, in conjunction with Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing, to accounts and agents.
Maintains expert knowledge of company/department manuals and procedures, and relevant Federal, State, and other pertinent codes and regulations applicable to Property, Liability, and Casualty lines of coverage.
Provides technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower-level positions.
May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates, and reviews assignments).
May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conducts multi-line and/or specialty loss and operational analysis to achieve successful implementation of complex risk improvement programs.
Contributes to business growth and retention goals by ensuring client risk improvement needs are addressed, demonstrating high understanding of client business, risk and risk profile.
Establishes action plans to achieve results appropriate for business revenue level and/or within budget then execute them with professional and consistent deliverables, demonstrating improvement through metrics in gaps and deficiencies with relevant stakeholder communications including quarterly/ annual success stories.
Contributes to Branch, Region and National growth strategy by integrating framework into Client interactions to differentiate Aegis Energy, retaining Clients, expanding existing accounts, through efficient and cost-effective service delivery; Proactively managing renewals to take advantage of Aegis Energy products or services that deliver a high-quality risk solution for Clients.
Active engagement and participation in Account Planning Services (APS), working groups and strategic reviews.
Actively contributes to growth strategy implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance.
Ability to obtain appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Moderate to extensive travel required, including multiple night travel each month.
Ability to travel by automobile, aircraft, boat and work outside of normal business hours as necessitated.
Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelors Degree or 5
years of commensurate experience.
Experience in transportation, insurance or energy related fields (Degree in Risk Engineering, Risk Management, Loss Control or Similar Safety Related Field a Plus) Other requirements include:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
